In memory of a wonderful friend
In memory of a dear friend, one in a million, Liz Hartley.
Liz you made a massive impact on my life. When at age 19 you arrived unannounced at our Christmas Day celebration in London with Ian as a baby. Thank you for coming to our house that day. Liz (Your mum) needed family then and we were the closest. Liz handed you (Ian) to me and you snuggled into my arms and fell into a deep calm sleep. Your mum sat down clearly tired and my mum (Margaret) sorted a chair at our Christmas table. Everyone commented that I should be a mum as you ( Ian) we’re so calm in my arms. Up to that point I had decided I would never have children but you changed my mind and now I have too lovely boys of my own. Your mum also taught me the importance of just being who you are and asking for support when you need it. You will be surprised where it comes from. My mum and dad told me about your Mums illness during lockdown so unfortunately I could not say goodbye to her when she was alive but I know she would want me to support you now so I’m looking forward to meeting up with you soon. 🥰
In memory of lovely Liz who lived so well with cancer for so long.

Your mum and I only reconnected very recently, so I haven't met you, Alicia and Ian. I am sending my condolences, and thinking of you x
